SCHOOL PROJECTS
ONGOING PROJECT (The Read Ease Project Takes Root in Karasana 2!) Abuja
We’re thrilled to share an update on the progress of our ongoing Read Ease Project. As promised, we’re here to provide you with a firsthand look at the impact we’re making in the lives of children in the Karasana 2 community.
On the crisp morning of February 24th, at 10 am sharp, our team gathered at the LEA school in Karasana 2, ready to kick-start the first official session of the “Read Ease” project. Excitement buzzed in the air as we prepared to embark on this journey of literacy and empowerment.
With 128 eager students in attendance, ranging from wide-eyed 12 years old to enthusiastic teenagers, the energy in the room was energized. Led by our dedicated Programs Coordinator, Ojone Faith Aduku, and supported by a team of passionate volunteers—Chukwuebuka, Grace, Miracle, and Project Manager Aderonke Olisa—we drove headfirst into the world of reading and learning.
As we delved into Week 3 of the “Read Ease” project, our focus remained on fostering a love for reading and instilling essential literacy skills in the young minds of Karasana 2 community. The LEA school provided the perfect venue for our lessons, offering a safe and welcoming space for our students to explore the wonders of literature.

Throughout the morning, our volunteers led engaging reading sessions, guided discussions, and interactive activities designed to ignite curiosity and fuel imagination. From classic storybooks to educational resources tailored to each age group, our aim was to cater to the diverse interests and learning styles of our students.
But the “Read Ease” project is about more than just reading—it’s about community. Karasana 2 is not just a location; it’s a vibrant community filled with resilient individuals eager to uplift one another. As we worked alongside Volunteers, we witnessed the power of collaboration in driving positive change.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing the smiles on the faces of our students as they delved into their favorite books, lost in worlds of adventure and discovery. It was a testament to the transformative power of reading and the impact it can have on young minds.
As the clock struck to closing, signaling the end of our session, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of fulfillment and pride. The first official session of the “Read Ease” project had been a resounding success, setting the stage for many more moments of learning and growth to come.
But our work is far from over. With each passing day, we’re committed to building upon the foundation we’ve laid and expanding the reach of the “Read Ease” project. Through continued dedication, passion, and collaboration, we’re confident that we can make a lasting difference in the lives of children in Karasana 2 and beyond.
As we reflect on the journey thus far, we’re reminded of the words of Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
With the “Read Ease” project, we’re equipping our students with the tools they need to shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Thank you for joining us on this incredible journey. Together, we can empower minds, uplift communities, and make a lasting impact through the power of reading. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to write the next chapter of the “Read Ease” story.
Creating Hope
Education is a key driver of personal and societal development, and Stella Omaji Global Care Foundation recognizes the importance of providing support to those who face financial barriers. The foundation’s commitment to education is evident through its scholarship program, which specifically targets students preparing for the WAEC examinations.
The WAEC examinations are a crucial milestone for students in West Africa, determining their eligibility for higher education and future career paths. However, many students from disadvantaged backgrounds struggle to afford the necessary resources for exam preparation. Stella Omaji Global Care Foundation addresses this challenge by offering scholarships that cover exam fees, study materials, and other essential expenses.
One of the foundation’s core principles is inclusivity, ensuring that deserving students from various backgrounds benefit from their initiatives. The scholarship program considers not only academic performance but also the financial needs of the applicants. This approach ensures that those facing economic hardships receive the support they need to excel in their studies.
Empowering Students
The impact of this initiative goes beyond words, as it paves the way for the future success of these deserving students.
By addressing financial barriers and providing mentorship, the foundation not only enhances academic outcomes but also cultivates a sense of empowerment among students. As we celebrate the successes of scholarship recipients, it becomes evident that Stella Omaji Global Care Foundation is contributing to a brighter and more inclusive future for communities in West Africa.
Introducing the Stella Omaji Global Care Foundation's "Read Ease" Project
Are you ready to join us on a journey of transformation? At Stella Omaji Global Care Foundation, we’re excited to unveil our latest initiative: the “Read Ease” project. It’s all about bringing the joy of reading to kids in remote communities and setting them on a path to a brighter future.
In many remote areas, access to books and educational resources is limited. Children grow up without the opportunity to explore the world through literature, stifling their potential and hindering their educational development. But we believe that every child deserves the chance to discover the magic of reading, regardless of where they live.
That’s why we’re establishing reading clubs in remote communities as part of our “Read Ease” project. These clubs will serve as safe and nurturing spaces where children can immerse themselves in the world of books. With access to a diverse range of reading materials, from storybooks to educational resources, we aim to ignite a passion for reading and learning in every child.
But our vision goes beyond just providing access to books. We understand the importance of technology in today’s digital age, which is why we’re also incorporating digital resources into our reading clubs. By providing projectors and other digital tools, we enhance the learning experience and cater to the diverse needs of our young readers.
The impact of the “Read Ease” project extends far beyond the walls of our reading clubs. By empowering children with essential literacy skills, we’re opening doors to endless opportunities. Reading not only expands the mind but also fosters critical thinking, creativity, and empathy—all essential skills for success in today’s world.
But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to make the “Read Ease” project a success. Whether you donate a book, contribute to our digital resources fund, or volunteer your time to support our reading clubs, your involvement makes a difference. Together, we can empower children to dream big and achieve their full potential through the power of reading.
Our commitment to transforming lives through education is unwavering. With the “Read Ease” project, we’re taking a crucial step towards building a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Join us on this journey of empowerment and help us create a world where literacy is a right, not a privilege. Together, we can make a difference—one book, one child, one community at a time.
